We are pleased to launch our Fiver for Five Ways fundraising appeal.

Like many state schools, we are facing increasing financial pressures. Rising costs and reduced government funding have made it harder to provide the high-quality education and enriching experiences we want for all our students.

To help bridge the gap, we are inviting families to consider a voluntary donation of:

  • £5 per month,
  • one-off gift of £60,
  • ǰwhatever you can afford to give.

Every contribution, big or small, will make a real difference.
Your donations will help us:
  • Protect the quality of classroom teaching
  • Maintain enrichment opportunities and extracurricular activities
  • Invest in vital resources and facilities
How to donate:
  • ViParentPay
  • Using the donation link on the school homepage
  • Or by bank transfer – details can be found in the letter on the School Website (Letters section)

Thank you for supporting our school community.
Every fiver counts. Every donation matters.

We’re incredibly proud to share that King Edward VI Five Ways has been ranked 53rd nationally in The Telegraph’s recently published Top UK Secondary School Rankings – making us the highest-ranked grammar school in Birmingham!

The ranking takes into account a number of key areas such as :

The proportion of students achieving Grade 5 or above in both GCSE English and Maths

The overall attainment score for all students across eight key GCSE subjects (known as the Attainment 8 score)

The Progress 8 score, which reflects how far students progress from the end of primary school through to their GCSEs

The above areas total a maximum score of 40 points where Five Ways scored an impressive 38 out of 40, with over 81% of students achieving Grade 5 or higher in both English and Maths – reflecting the dedication of our students, staff, and wider school community. This gives Five Ways an overall rating of Very Good which is the highest available.

This national recognition is a testament to our ongoing commitment to academic excellence, strong student support, and well-rounded education.

Congratulations to all our staff and students whose hard work and passion continue to make Five Ways a truly outstanding place to learn.
